Salvador Lazarini Plascencia (born June 14, 1943 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican soccer player who was under contract with Club León and CF Atlante in the 1960s .

career

Lazarini began his career in the youth division of the UNAM Pumas . He then completed some training sessions at the CD Cruz Azul , where he sustained a knee injury that forced him to take a break for several months.

Because he was not yet equipped with a professional contract at the beginning of the 1960s , Lazarini first played for a team called Deportivo Álamos and then for San Sebastián in the Liga Española de Fútbol operated on amateur status . During this time the traditional club León FC , playing in the first division , became aware of Lazarini and provided him with a professional contract. After two years with León (1963 to 1965) Lazarini moved to CF Atlante, which was still based in his hometown .

Because he lacked the necessary continuity to establish himself in the top division, Lazarini played during the last few years of his active career only for clubs in the Mexican second division ; first for the Petroleros de Poza Rica and then for the three clubs in the state of Tamaulipas, Cuerudos de Ciudad Victoria , CD Tampico and Orinegros de Ciudad Madero . The best memory of his footballing career also dates from that time: in the 1971/72 season he scored the winning goal for the Orinegros in a local derby to make it 1-0 against CD Tampico.
