József Szalma

József Szalma (born January 9, 1948 in Zrenjanin , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian lawyer and professor at the University of Novi Sad .

life and work

Szalma studied law at the University of Novi Sad until 1970 . In 1976 he acquired in Belgrade the title of Magister iuris , 1979, he also received his doctorate at the University of Belgrade Dr. iur. He then worked as a lecturer in Belgrade and Novi Sad before being appointed associate professor in 1985. Since 1990 he has been a full professor at the University of Novi Sad in the civil law department for the law of obligations.

Szalma is also active internationally. He was visiting professor at the Eötvös Loránd University (1997) and at the University of Miskolc (2002/03). He has been researcher at the University of Vienna since 1994 . He is also a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Vojvodina.

Szalma's research interests particularly include the Serbian, Hungarian and international law of obligations and obligations. He has also contributed to other civil law topics.
