Jörg Bäßler (born April 14, 1971 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a wood sculptor in the Ore Mountains .

Life

An apprenticeship as an agricultural machinist had to end with the fall of the Wall . Retrained to be a chimney sweep , he turned his carving hobby into a profession. After completing a second apprenticeship as a wood sculptor, he started his own business. He is a freelance wood sculptor and chainsaw carver in Meinersdorf . His motto is "Erzgebirge XXL" .

In the National Monument Sculpture Park German Unity stands his wooden sculpture "Whisper" , a couple from a chestnut trunk .
