Jörg “Bär” Benz (born on July 26, 1936 ; died on December 13, 2017 in Winterthur ) was a Swiss handball player .
He played for 16 years in the first team of Pfadi Winterthur, among other things in the 1960s as a long shot together with national player Hans Heinrich Güttinger . Even after the end of his career, Benz continued to work in various functions for scouts, including as a corrector for the former Panorama organ and looking after the VIP guests. In 2007 he was made an honorary member in honor of his longstanding support. After a long illness, he died at the age of 81 in Winterthur.
