Jörg Buchna

Jörg Buchna (born March 13, 1945 in Wittenberge ) is an Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and was public pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran district of East Friesland until March 14, 2010 . In addition to his professional work, Buchna is also known as the author of numerous books.

Life

Buchna grew up in Hanover . After school, theology studies and vicariate he was first pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Jesteburg . In 1990 he followed the appointment as Public Pastor of the district of East Friesland of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover and took up residence in the north .

In addition to his full-time service, in which, according to his own statements, he wrote over 6,000 church press releases, he has published over 20 books since 1980 with a total circulation of more than 200,000 copies.

Jörg Buchna is married and has four children.

With the last three books in particular, he re-described biblical idioms in everyday language use and thus had great success in East Frisia. He donated the proceeds from his books to church and charitable purposes.
