Jörg Dechert
Jörg Dechert (* 1971 ) is a German journalist and blogger on Christian topics. In October 2014, he was appointed CEO of ERF Medien .
Life
Dechert studied physics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . He was with a thesis on high-resolution scanning SQUID - microscopy doctorate.
From 1997 to 2007 he was the project manager of the Christian InterNet Working Group (CINA) in Wetzlar , then from August 2007 to May 2012 the head of the work area that has since become part of ERF Medien . As of May 2012, he was responsible for the content at ERF Medien, the strategic development and cross-media linking of the content in radio, television and the Internet. Jörg Dechert was appointed CEO of ERF Medien in October 2014 as the successor to Jürgen Werth . Since 2017 he has been a member of the Executive Board of the Evangelical Alliance in Germany.
Dechert is a member of the Youth Congress Christival eV, and was a member of the parish leadership of a Free Evangelical Congregation (FeG) until 2014 .
