Jörg Etz

Jörg Etz (born May 1, 1953 in Mannheim ) is a former German ice hockey player . He was active as a striker for the Mannheim ERC during his career .

Career

Jörg Etz spent his entire professional career in Mannheim . With the team from Mannheim he became German champion in 1980 under coach Heinz Weisenbach . In the 1979/80 season he scored nine points as a player with jersey number 7 for Mannheim . After the 1982/83 season he ended his active career. Etz had his own battle cry in Mannheim: "Etz, Etz, Etz, the puck, it has to go online" .

After the career

Jörg Etz works as a dentist today . His son Mark Etz is also an ice hockey player and has played several seasons in the DEL .
