Mark Etz (born December 30, 1980 in Mannheim , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German ice hockey player who ended his professional career in 2005 and now only - like his brother Eike Etz - is a hobby with the amateurs of the Mannheim ERC in the Baden-Württemberg League plays.
Career
In the 1998/99 season, Mark Etz was on the ice for the first time as a professional for Adler Mannheim , where he started playing ice hockey at the age of seven. In the 1999/2000 season he only played for the Jungadler Mannheim in the Oberliga Nord . After graduating from high school, however, the focus was again on the ice hockey career and he was appointed to the professional team in the 2000/01 season .
In order to get more match practice, he hired the Schwenninger Wild Wings in 2001 , with whom he was relegated from the DEL in 2003 . Thereupon he finally switched to the Frankfurt Lions , against whom Schwenningen won in the previous year's play-downs , but still had to go to the second division for financial reasons . Although he became German champion with the Lions in 2004 , he decided to change clubs again as he was not satisfied with his role in the fourth row.
The Iserlohn Roosters secured his services for the 2004/05 season and a year later for the 2005/06 season , which he ended again after only seven games because he was dissatisfied with the season's personal development and was studying dentistry Heidelberg could begin.
Due to time constraints, the son of Jörg Etz (1980 German champion with the Mannheim ERC , now a dentist) and a teacher only appear as an amateur.
