Jörg Hardt

Jörg Hardt (born December 6, 1980 in Bonn ) is a former German racing driver .

Career

Jörg Hardt began his motorsport career through karting . He drove there from 1995 to 1998. After that he switched to the German Formula Ford 1800 season for the 1999 season , in which he won the championship.

From 2000 to 2002 Hardt competed in Formula Renault 2.0 - initially in France and from 2001 in Germany. He achieved his best overall result there in 2001 with ninth place. At the same time he drove in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in 2000 and 2001 , where he finished in tenth place in 2000, his best result of the season. In 2002 he competed in six races in the German Formula 3 Championship .

From 2003 to 2008 he started for the Schnabl Engineering PZ Trier team in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and achieved his greatest successes in the brand championship in 2004 and 2006 with 3rd place. In addition, he drove in several races in the Porsche Supercup from 2004 to 2010 .

In 2007 and 2008 Hardt competed with a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup at the Daytona 24-hour race , which was part of the Grand American Rolex Series . He couldn't finish both races. In the two years he also competed in a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring . He achieved his best placement in 2007 when he finished sixth overall.

In 2008 and 2010 he started one more race in the 24H Series . Then he ended his active motorsport career.
