Jörg Heidrich

Jörg Heidrich is a former German basketball player. The development player played 113 international matches for the German national team .

career

Heidrich played in the basketball league  in the 1970s for TuS 04 Leverkusen and later moved to BSC Saturn Cologne . With Cologne he won the German championship in 1981 and 1982, and in 1983 he contributed to victory in the DBB Cup . From 1987 he played for TuS 1882 Opladen in the second division.

Heidrich, who studied mechanical engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen , founded a company that operated computer simulations before working for the Bayer Group , for which he worked for years in Mexico and the United States .

National team

In 1974 he took part in the European Championship with the German junior national team. In August 1975 Heidrich made his debut in the German men's national team. In 1981 he was part of the squad for the European Championship in Czechoslovakia . By 1982 he had 113 A-internationals for the selection of the German Basketball Federation .
