Jörg Nickel

Jörg Nickel (born November 30, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

Jörg Nickel studied political science and then did a doctorate in marine biology. He worked for several years as a public relations officer and research assistant for the Green Parliamentary Group and for two years represented the Green State Working Group on Nature and Environment as a spokesman. Nickel lives in Kiel. He is married and has two children.

On January 25, 2012, Nickel succeeded Thorsten Fürter as a member of the state parliament , who resigned his mandate after his application for a place on the list for the 2012 state election at the state party conference of the Greens in January 2012 . Nickel was the spokesman for his group for network policy and marine protection and a deputy member of the European Committee. In the early state elections in May 2012, he won no mandate.

In the 2017 federal election , Jörg Nickel ran for fourth place on the state list of the Greens in Schleswig-Holstein . However, he did not move into the Bundestag.
