Jörg Reichl
Jörg Reichl (* 1963 in Greifswald ) is a German politician (citizen for Rudolstadt) and mayor of Rudolstadt since 2006 .
Life
Reichl attended the Polytechnic High School in Pressel for ten years from 1969 to 1979 . From 1979 to 1982 he completed vocational training with a high school diploma as a skilled worker for glass technology in Torgau . From 1982 to 1990 he did his basic military service and at the same time completed a course of study, which he graduated with a degree in economics. In 1990 Reichl, who was an officer in the National People's Army, was taken over as an officer in the Bundeswehr .
Reichl has lived in Rudolstadt since 1987. From 1991 to 1997 he worked there as an independent retailer. From 1997 to 1999 he was project manager at the Chamber of Crafts in East Thuringia in Gera and from 1999 to 2006 he worked in marketing at Volksbank Saaletal eG.
He has been politically active since 2004, when he became a member of the city council of Rudolstadt. Since 2006 he has held the office of mayor of the city. In 2012 and 2018 he was confirmed in office.
Reichl is married and has three children. He is a founding member of the Stadtring Rudolstadt eV
