Jörg Reiff-Stephan

Jörg Reiff-Stephan (born April 20, 1971 in Belzig ) is a German engineer , entrepreneur and university professor . He has a full professorship in the engineering and natural sciences faculty at the Technical University of Wildau and an honorary professorship in the product design division at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art . He lives in Eggersdorf near Berlin .

biography

Jörg Reiff-Stephan studied information technology in mechanical engineering at the Technical University (TU) Berlin from 1990 to 1996 , from 1996 to 2000, also at the TU Berlin, he completed a doctorate at the Institute for Machine Tools and Factory Management in the field of mechanical engineering / production technology , which he graduated with a "summa cum laude". He wrote his dissertation on the topic of “Contribution to the gripping of textiles”.

Jörg Reiff-Stephan has been the owner of the RS Point "Design & Technology" office since 1997 , and has been a consultant for material efficiency / product design / marketing / controlling since 2003. Since 2010 he has worked as a lecturer for innovation management at the Steinbeis University in Berlin , since 2001 he has been a lecturer in "Technical Product Design" at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule berlin, and in 2008 he was appointed honorary professor. In 2011 he was appointed professor for automation technology at the TH Wildau. At the TH Wildau, he heads the "Automation Technology" and "Automated Energy Systems" courses, is a founding member of the Institute for Material, Development and Production (iMEP) and director of the Institute for "Cyberphysical Production Systems" - iCPPS.

In addition, he has been Chairman of the Board of the Association for "Applied Automation Technology in Teaching and Development" (VFAALE eV) since 2016 and was a member of the DFG System Technology Review Board from 2016 to 2020.
