Jörg Tremmel

Jörg Tremmel (* 1970 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German political scientist and philosopher .

Life

Tremmel studied business administration at the EBS University for Economics and Law in Oestrich-Winkel and the FernUniversität in Hagen and graduated in 1997 with a degree in business administration and in 1998 with a degree in business administration. He also studied political science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and graduated in 2003 with a diploma. He received his doctorate in 2005 as Dr. rer. pole. at the University of Stuttgart with the dissertationPopulation Policy in the Context of Ecological Intergenerational Justice ” and in 2008 Dr. phil. at the University of Düsseldorf with the topic "A Theory of Intergenerational Justice". From 2009 to 2010 he was a Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science in England. From April 2010 to April 2016 he was Junior Professor for Intergenerational Politics at the Institute for Political Science at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and has been a private lecturer there ever since. Jörg Tremmel completed his habilitation at the University of Tübingen in February 2016. The lecture topic of the colloquium was: "Max Weber's postulate of freedom of value judgments revisited - What does normative political theory have to say about it today?" . The successfully assessed habilitation thesis, submitted in autumn 2015, was entitled "Normative Hypotheses Using the Example of Political Murder" .
