Jörn Klockow

Jörn Klockow (* 1944 in Posen ) is a German librarian. He was a professor of library science at the University of Hanover .

Life

Klockow grew up in Berlin and studied German , theater studies and philosophy in Munich and Vienna. 1972 Doctorate to Dr. phil. Research assistant, library trainee, library assessor, senior library councilor. Professor at Hanover University of Applied Sciences (now Hanover University of Applied Sciences) for library management, dean and 1993–1999 head of the Institute for Foreign University Applicants.

Klockow was honorary state manager of the Seniors 'Union of Brandenburg from 2006–2012, member of the federal executive committee from 2008–2012 and interim federal manager of the CDU's senior citizens' union from 2011–2012

In 2012 he left the Seniors Union and in 2013 from the CDU.

He has been a member of the AG-Potsdam of UNICEF-Germany since 2012 and has headed it since 2013.

Klockow is married and has two children.
