Jörn Lenz

Jörn Lenz (born April 12, 1969 in Rostock - Warnemünde ) is a former German football player .

biography

Lenz comes from the junior division of BSG Schiffahrt / Hafen Rostock . When Lenz was accepted into the KJS in 1981, FC Hansa Rostock took over. In 1985 Lenz moved to BFC Dynamo , where he made his first appearances in the GDR league at the end of the eighties . In 1989 Lenz played two more games in the European Cup Winners' Cup with the GDR record champions , after victories against Valur Reykjavík the end against AS Monaco came in the second round .

After the BFC failed in relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga , the defender moved to local rivals Tennis Borussia Berlin in 1992 . In 1994 he was relegated with TeBe from the second division, but remained loyal to the club until 1997. Afterwards, Lenz signed up for Energie Cottbus again in the second highest division, but was only used sporadically with the Lausitzers. The result was the return to FC Berlin , where Lenz was under contract until 2001. In 2001 Jörn Lenz moved to the NOFV-Oberliga for VfB Leipzig , which he left again in 2003 shortly before the club went bankrupt. Again Lenz switched back to BFC Dynamo, where he is still active today.

Lenz played for BFC Dynamo and FC Berlin in four different divisions: DDR-Oberliga , Football Regionalliga Nordost , NOFV-Oberliga (Staffel Nord) and Verbandsliga Berlin .

In the 2006/07 season Lenz acted with Nico Thomaschewski at the Berliners as interim coach, but was replaced in March 2007 by Volkan Uluc. Also in the 2007/08 season Lenz was a member of the BFC Dynamo team. With the 2008/09 season Jörn Lenz became team manager.
