Jörn Schmiedel (born September 13, 1978 in Geislingen an der Steige ) is a former German football player .
Career
In his youth Jörn Schmiedel played for SC Geislingen . In the summer of 1997, the midfielder moved to the second team at VfB Stuttgart . After he could not recommend himself for the first division team there, he went to SSV Reutlingen in the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2001/02 season . He played 35 second division games in two seasons and scored four goals.
After that, Schmiedel played for four years at VfR Aalen in the Regionalliga Süd . In April 2008, SSV Reutlingen brought Schmiedel back to Kreuzeiche, who was then without a club, whereupon he moved to the third division club Stuttgarter Kickers for the 2008/09 season. In the 3rd division he only came to three missions. His contract ended with relegation. He has now ended his active career. He was the coach of the district league club SV Wurmlingen and studied in Tübingen. With SV Wurmlingen, he was promoted to the district league in his last year as coach.
He now works as a physiotherapist (B.Sc.) in a Geislingen rehabilitation center. He is also a lecturer at the HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen.
