Júlia Lángh

Júlia Lángh (born in Budapest in 1942 ) is a Hungarian writer.

Life

After completing her studies, Júlia Lángh initially worked as a teacher for Hungarian and French in Budapest and later worked as a PR employee in a publishing house. Lángh was the author György Konrád's second wife since 1963 , and the marriage resulted in two children: Anna Dóra (1965) and Miklós István (1967). She emigrated with the children from communist Hungary and lived in Paris from 1977 to 1984. She went to Munich for Radio Free Europe , where she worked as an editor and presenter until 1994. After a stay as a development worker in Nigeria in 1994/95, she returned to Hungary and works as a freelance writer.

In 2013 she received the Füst Milán-díj literature prize.
