Pen Densham (born October 14, 1947 in Ruislip-Northwood Urban District , Middlesex , England ) is a British- Canadian film and television producer, director and screenwriter.

Life

Born in England, he immigrated to Canada and became a Canadian citizen around 1966. From 1973 he worked as a producer, the following year he made his debut as a director and screenwriter with the short film Thoroughbred . From the mid-1980s, he focused on feature films and television series. He himself directed four feature films. In the 1990s he was involved in the development and production of several television series, including Space Rangers and The Magnificent Seven .

For the short film Don't Mess with Bill he was nominated for the Oscar in the category Best Documentary Short Film at the 1981 Academy Awards. As early as 1974 he had received a nomination in the category Best Short Film . For his participation in the series Outer Limits - The Unknown Dimension , he received a CableACE Award in 1995 and won a Gemini Award in 1997 .

In 2011 he appeared as the author of the book Riding the Alligator: Strategies for a Career in Screenplay Writing ... and Not Getting Eaten .

Densham has been married since 1974 and has two children.
