Július Firkaľ (born January 14, 1998 in Humenné ) is a Slovak volleyball player .
Career
Firkaľ was initially interested in various sports before he started playing volleyball in school. He started his career in his hometown at VK Chemes Humenné. In 2013, the outside attacker played for the first time in the Slovak junior national team at the age of 15. In the same year he moved to COP Trenčín . In 2014 he took part in the U20 European Championship, which Slovakia hosted alongside the Czech Republic. In 2017 he was called up to the senior national team and made his debut in a game against Belarus in July . At the same time he was signed by the German volleyball Bundesliga club SWD Powervolleys Düren . With the club he reached the playoff quarter-finals of the Bundesligaand played in the CEV Cup . After the season he moved to Turkey to Tokat Belediye Plevne.
