Jewish cemetery in Glatz

The Jewish cemetery in Glatz (Polish: Kłodzko ), a town in the powiat Kłodzki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland, was established in 1825. The Jewish cemetery on Gartenstrasse (today Bohaterów Getta Street ) is a protected cultural monument .

history

The Glatzer Jewish Cemetery was left to decay for decades. As a result of the initiative of the “Foundation for the Preservation of the Jewish Heritage” and the use of volunteers, repairs began in 2005: gravestones were erected again and the cemetery wall restored.

Around 100 tombstones with German and Hebrew inscriptions are still preserved on the 0.30 hectare cemetery grounds.
