Gertrud Utpott

Marie Elisabeth Gertrud Utpott , née Bannert (born October 24, 1891 in Berlin ; † August 20, 1976 there ), was a German politician ( SPD ).

Gertrud Bannert attended elementary school and was a worker until 1914, later she was a department manager in a light bulb factory. From 1914 she was married to the painter Max Willi Julius Utpott (1890–1966). In 1918 she joined the SPD. After the First World War , she worked in local youth and welfare work.

After the Second World War , Gertrud Utpott was elected to the district assembly in the Wedding district in the first Berlin election in 1946 . From 1947 to 1956 she was chairwoman of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) in Wedding. Since Walter Röber was elected as district mayor of Berlin-Wedding in May 1951, she moved to the Berlin House of Representatives . In February 1955, Utpott was able to move up again to the House of Representatives, as Walter Nicklitz was now elected as building councilor for Berlin-Wedding. From October 1959 to March 1963 she was again a district councilor in Wedding.
