Jewish cemetery (Waltrop)

The Waltrop Jewish cemetery is located in the town of Waltrop in the Recklinghausen district in North Rhine-Westphalia . In the Jewish cemetery in the communal cemetery on Schützenstrasse (opposite the chapel entrance), which was occupied from 1907 to 1938, six gravestones have been preserved. It is also mentioned as a row of Jewish graves in the new municipal cemetery on Friedhofstrasse.

Old graveyard

The old Jewish cemetery on Hilberstrasse opposite the fire brigade was occupied from 1822 to 1906. There are no more tombstones on it.

History: By 1873, 19 burials had been recorded. Gravestones were gradually removed between 1912 and 1932.
