The Jewish cemetery in Bzenec (German Bisenz ), a town in Okres Hodonín in the South Moravian Region in the Czech Republic , was probably laid out in the 17th century. The Jewish cemetery , in the vicinity of the municipal cemetery, has been a protected cultural monument since 1988 . The oldest gravestones ( Mazevot ) date from the end of the 17th century. Today there are still around a thousand tombstones in the cemetery.
