Tombstones

The Jewish cemetery in Chrudim , a town in the East Bohemian Pardubický kraj on the Chrudimka ( Czech Republic ), was laid out in 1890. The cemetery has been a protected cultural monument since 2008. The oldest tombstone ( Mazewa ) dates from 1890, the youngest from 1940. Today around 100 tombstones are still preserved.

In 2012, a memorial was inaugurated in the cemetery for Jewish citizens of Chrudim who were deported to concentration camps and murdered during the Nazi era. In 2017, the first eleven stumbling blocks were laid in Chrudim for these victims .
