Jewish cemetery (Rodenberg)
The Jewish cemetery Rodenberg in the Lower Saxon town of Rodenberg in the Schaumburg district is located at the "Kilian's Chamber" on the eastern slope of the Rodenberg. There are 99 tombstones in the 1,523 m² cemetery .
history
The cemetery was laid out in 1830. It was also the burial place for the Jews from Apelern , Beckedorf , Hohnhorst and Groß Nenndorf . In 1939 it was ordered to close. In 1952 the cemetery became the property of the Jewish Trust Corporation and in 1960 the State Association of Jewish Communities of Lower Saxony took over the maintenance of the site.
