The Schifferstadt Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Schifferstadt , a town in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It is a protected cultural monument .
history
The dead of the Jewish community in Schifferstadt were buried in the Jewish cemetery in Otterstadt from 1821 to 1907 . The Jewish cemetery in Schifferstadt was laid out in 1907 on the right of Speyerer Straße in the Gewann Portheide . Until the cemetery was devastated during the Nazi era , 14 burials took place: Isidor Freundlich, Samuel Landmann, Sigmund Landmann, Babette Löb, Heinrich Löb, Alex Mängen, Herbert Mannen, Bernhard Mayer, Julie Mayer, Leopold Mayer, Paul Mayer, Gustav Reiss , Ludwig Mayer and most recently Isaac Mann in April 1935. The cemetery is 2.00 ares in size and today there are four tombstones ( mazewot ).
