La Boisse Jewish Memorial (Mémorial juif de La Boisse - לִקְדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר-בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּה)

The La Boisse Jewish Cemetery ( French Cimetière juif de La Boisse ) is a cemetery . It is also a memorial in honor of the victims who were deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and murdered. The memorial is located in La Boisse (near the border with Niévroz ) in the Ain department in France .

"Aux saints qui sont sur la terre"

"The holy ones on earth"

like it in Hebrew לִקְדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר-בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּהis written on the front gable of the memorial. This is a direct reference to Psalm 16 , verse 3 in the Bible , here in Hebrew.

The memorial is also called Mémorial Jacques-Dreyfus in memory of Jacques Dreyfus (1915–1980), the president of the Rhône-Alpes Association (président du consistoire Rhône-Alpes).
