The Jewish cemetery Spangenberg is located in Spangenberg in the Schwalm-Eder district of Hesse .

Until the cemetery was built around 1867 on the slopes of the Schlossberg on the outskirts of Spangenberg, the dead of the Jewish community were buried in the Binsförth Jewish cemetery . The dead of the Jewish community in Elbersdorf had also been buried in Binsförth by then.

In 1981 the city of Spangenberg erected a memorial to commemorate the Spangenberg victims of the Nazi tyranny. The initiative for this came from students at the local castle seat school .

The cemetery has an area of around 2000 m² and is in close proximity to the Christian cemetery.
