Jewish schoolhouse (Mayen)
The Jewish schoolhouse in Mayen , a town in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate , was built in 1869. The school building at Im Hombrich 11 is a protected cultural monument .
A plaque with the following inscription was attached to the three-story plastered building: “Jewish school. 1873 Acquisition of a plot of land near the synagogue. 1875 Construction of the simple schoolhouse with apartment by the synagogue community. 1875 Conversion from a private school to a public elementary school. 1908 Passed into the possession of the civil parish. 1910 repair. Used as a school under teacher Albert Levi until 1938. "
