Jürgen-Peter Schindler
Jürgen-Peter Schindler (born March 25, 1937 in Berlin ; † August 17, 1997 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg ) was a German church musician, organist and musicologist.
Schindler worked from 1964 to 1997 as cantor and church music director at the Christ Church in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. His research on the history of music focused on organ building and the development and recording, in particular, of Christoph Stoltzenberg's music . Schindler was a widely recognized organ expert and, together with the two Ostheim master organ builders Horst and Günter Hoffmann, designed the Ostheim vor der Rhön Organ Museum, which was founded in 1993 .
