Jürgen Abromeit

Jürgen Abromeit (born November 12, 1960 in Holzhausen (Georgsmarienhütte) ) is a German manager and was CEO of INDUS Holding in Bergisch Gladbach between 2012 and 2018 , where he has been chairman of the supervisory board since 2018 .

Life

After completing his training as a banker at Dresdner Bank AG Osnabrück, Abromeit held positions in corporate banking and investment banking at Dresdner Bank and Commerzbank in Osnabrück, Bremen, Hamburg and Frankfurt.

In 1998 he moved to the Georgsmarienhütte (GMH) group of companies as Head of Finance . During his 11 years at Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH , based in Hamburg and Georgsmarienhütte , Abromeit took over the management of several subsidiaries and later built up the plant construction division with a total of nine subsidiaries, which he was responsible for as a subgroup board member until he left in 2008. The subsidiaries included IAG Industrie- und Anlagenbau GmbH, EICKHOFF Industrie-Anlagenbau GmbH and Kranbau Köthen GmbH.

From 2008 Abromeit was a member of the Management Board of INDUS Holding AG, which he has chaired since 2012. He was responsible for the areas of strategy, M&A, financing and communication and the direct management of portfolio companies. Today the INDUS Group is the largest publicly listed investment company in Germany. On June 30, 2018, he resigned from his position as CEO. In November 2018 Abromeit was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of INDUS Holding AG.

At the beginning of 2019, Jürgen Abromeit founded A-Xellence AG in Osnabrück. With a focus on finance and M&A, A-Xellence supports medium-sized companies, family businesses, listed companies as well as institutional investors and business-related organizations in economic and strategic decision-making processes.

Jürgen Abromeit is married and has two children.

Engagements

Abromeit is also a business advisory board member at Nord LB, Norddeutsche Landesbank , Hanover and has been a member of the DZ Bank's SME initiative group since 2012 . He is also a member of Commerzbank's West Regional Advisory Board and has been a member of the Wickeder Group since 2017 .
