Jürgen Alexander Heß (born March 1, 1943 ; † August 5, 2001 in Hamburg ) was a German illustrator . After graduating from school, he completed an apprenticeship as a decorator in Hamburg's Alsterhaus. He then attended the University of Applied Sciences for Graphics and Design in Hamburg from 1963 to 1967. From then on he worked for various publishers. From 1976 he was hired by the Hörzu . He was supposed to support Reinhold Escher, who was in poor health , and alternately draw his own Mecki stories with him . However, his parodic comics based on texts by Hörzu editor Rainer Schwarz met with little approval. Its episodes and individual gags were published until 1985.
