Jürgen Duah (born December 19, 1985 in Dortmund ; until 2007 Jürgen Molinari ) is a German - Ghanaian soccer player .
Career
Jürgen Duah, son of an Italian and a Ghanaian, grew up under the name Molinari in Bochum and played at VfL Bochum when he was young . At the age of 19 he went to SG Wattenscheid 09 , where he first played in the U23 in the association league and in his second year also got a few opportunities in the first team that competed in the Regionalliga Nord. After relegation to the league, the versatile defender was part of the first team. At the beginning of 2007 he took the name of his Ghanaian father and has been called Jürgen Duah since then. After the club was on the verge of bankruptcy and the second relegation in a row could not be prevented, he left the Wattenscheider at the end of the season and returned to his old club VfL Bochum.
There he played in the second team for another year in the Oberliga Westfalen and qualified at the end of the season for the Regionalliga West, which was still the fourth-highest division after the reform of the league system. He played for the Bochum team for two more years. Although he played over 90 games in the second team in three years and developed into a reliable defensive player, he did not get any prospects of a job in the professional team of VfL.
Therefore he left the club in 2010 and joined the league competitor Preußen Münster . There he was a pillar of the team as a right defender and contributed to the championship and promotion to professional football. In the 2011/12 season he played in the 3rd league and also scored his first professional goal and his first goal for the SCP on matchday seven, which saved the team a point against the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the final minutes . After the end of his contract in 2012, Duah was without a club for half a year until he joined the national division CSV Bochum-Linden in January 2013 , which was coached by Frank Benatelli .
