Jürgen Evers
Jürgen Evers (born April 29, 1965 in Stuttgart ) is a former German athlete and Olympic participant who - starting for the Federal Republic - was a successful sprinter in the 1980s . His greatest success is the silver medal in the 200-meter run at the European Championships in 1986 (20.75 s). His personal best over 200 meters was 20.37 s. This was the German record until reunification .
Jürgen Evers started for the club SV Salamander Kornwestheim . In his playing days he was 1.83 m tall and weighed 65 kg.

- 1983, World Championships : 5th place with the 4 x 100 meter relay (38.56 s)
- 1984, Olympic Games : 5th place with the 4 x 100 meter relay; eliminated in the intermediate run in the 100-meter run and in the 200-meter run
- 1986, European Championships : 2nd place in the 200 meter run ; eliminated in the 100 meter intermediate run; eliminated with the 4 x 100 meter relay in the lead
