Jürgen Gronholz

Jürgen Gronholz (born April 28, 1956 in Bremerhaven ; † July 29, 2019 ) was a German pop musician , composer and lyricist .

Life

With the first band called The Mystery Sound , which he founded when he was 13, he performed in the auditorium of the Pestalozzi High School during a break from classes. Shortly afterwards he founded his first international band "Deep Motive". They played in Hamburg stores such as Onkel Pö , Top Ten, Logo etc. After graduating from high school, he went to Ulm, Switzerland and Austria for a few months to gain experience in various formations. In 1980 he moved to Munich, where he worked in studios and also toured the world with various bands. In 1985 he joined Dschinghis Khan . You contested the Grand Prix preliminary decision in Munich. He then toured Korea, Japan, Russia, and Thailand.

In 1987 he got into a top 40 band and toured a. a. Brazil and the Gulf Emirates. At the beginning of the nineties, Gronholz and his brother Carsten led the band of singer David Hasselhoff . They were discovered by Jack White and produced their own CD. Gronholz lived alternately in Ibiza and Hamburg.
