Jürgen Grundler (* probably on November 10, 1955 in Großbreitenbach ) is a former German biathlete . Grundler is a victim of state-prescribed doping in GDR competitive sports .

Jürgen Grundler from ASK Oberhof won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 1974 with Steffen Thierfelder and Veit Schirmer in the East German relay, behind the team from Finland. Two years later he won the title with Klaus Siebert and Olaf Weisflog ahead of the Soviet Union and Poland. The greatest success in the men's division was winning the GDR championship in the sprint competition in 1979. In 1977 he was runner-up behind Klaus Siebert, and in 1978 third. With the relay of the ASK Oberhof he won silver medals in 1979 and 1980.

Grundler has been an officially recognized victim of the GDR doping system by the Cologne Federal Administration Office since 2003 . Due to the abuse of doping substances, he has a disturbed lymphatic system , an increased susceptibility to infections , psychosomatic disorders , orthopedic problems and cancer. During his active time he was monitored by the GDR State Security , and his files contained reports from 14 different informers.
