Jürgen Hörig

Jürgen Hörig (born September 11, 1965 in Rastatt ) is a German television presenter , journalist and singer .

Life

Jürgen Hörig passed his Abitur at the Ludwig-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Rastatt (1985). His journalistic career began at Pabel-Moewig-Verlag , after studying in Karlsruhe and Freiburg (educational science, pedagogical university), he became a freelancer at what was then Südwestfunk in Freiburg. He worked as a reporter for the state studio and moderated the radio program "Baden-Württemberg Aktuell" for SWF1 and S4.

After founding the Südwestrundfunk in 1998, he moved to Stuttgart to work on television and has hosted the "Landesschau Baden-Württemberg" since 1999. This was followed by numerous television productions for “Treffpunkt im Grünen” and “Treffpunkt Freizeit” and, from 2001, the moderation of the afternoon program Kaffee oder Tee (until 2010). This made him known to a wider audience beyond Baden-Württemberg.

Hörig has also been working as a reporter for the “Landesschau Mobil” since 2015. There he portrays people and places, both for the state show and for the half-hour broadcast on Saturday “Landesschau Mobil”.

Hörig lives in the Remstal , east of Stuttgart and has been married since 1998.

From 2002 to 2015 Hörig was chairman of the Association for the Promotion of German Childhood Cancer Care eV in Tannheim (Villingen-Schwenningen). In the meantime he is still working there on a voluntary basis as an assessor on the board.

In autumn 2015 Jürgen Hörig released a music single under his name. “Brand New Song” was written and produced by Conny Conrad.

In September 2016 the album "Out comes" followed. It was released under the project name UMON feat. Jürgen Hörig. 12 tracks can be heard on it including a remix. The lyrics are written by Hörig, the music is by Conrad. In the meantime Hörig occasionally performs live.
