Content

My green thumb

This topic is always at the beginning of every broadcast. If the weather cooperates, this part is broadcast directly from the garden in front of the broadcasting house. A master gardener is present as an expert and gives tips on certain topics, e.g. B. Kirsten Becker on perennials, Volker Kugel on garden design and Peter Berg on organic vegetables.

Live cooking in the studio

In the second hour on Tuesday and in the first hour on Wednesday, there is live cooking in the studio. Different cooks take turns; You can watch Markus Buchholz, Ludwig Heer, Sören Anders , Martin Gehrlein, Jens Jakob and Timo Böckle at work. The recipes can be read in the video text and on the Internet.

Good life

Under this heading, various topics related to leisure and lifestyle , such as handicrafts & decorating , DIY & model making , books & music , but also fitness, beauty and health are summarized. For example, the designers Martina Lammel and Patricia Morgenthaler give handicraft tips every now and then . Tanja Steinbach makes suggestions for handicrafts with thread and wool, home design and decorating. If a workshop on a certain topic is being offered somewhere in the coffee or tea broadcast area , there is usually a half-hour live connection there. The rubric was previously called "Better Living".

Service focus

The focus of every coffee or tea program is a topic on a specific area for which an expert is always present, e.g. B. a specialist lawyer or a member of the SWR legal and justice editorial team on legal issues, taxes, insurance and current judgments. Always on the first Tuesday of the month there is a pension consultation hour in which a specialist from the German pension insurance company answers questions from the audience. The specialist journalist Andreas Reinhardt reports on innovations from the computer world and gives practical tips on how to use electronic media. The field of medicine also often plays a major role. A specialist or veterinarian is available to answer questions from the audience. Animal referrals from various animal shelters in the transmission area are on the program on Thursdays. The rubric was previously called "Tagesthema".

Adventure household

Various questions about housekeeping are dealt with under this topic. For example, Nadine Hocke, Franziska Huber and Bärbel Neher from the Household Network regularly give tips on how to better manage the household, the nutritionist Sabine Schütze and the nutritionist Sven Bach give lectures on the composition of certain foods and their importance for health, Werner Eckert from the nutrition department and Environment gives tips on everything that has to do with wine. The focus of the program on Friday is the Sunday cake . A pastry chef makes a cake according to his own recipe, which is tasted and sometimes commented on by the presenter and the guests in the studio towards the end of the program. The bakers include Peter Scharff , Hannes Weber , Lisa Rudiger, Claudia Hennicke-Pöschk, Dorothea Steffen, Lucias Kranz, Robert Schorp and Stina Spiegelberg. Former experts are Silvia Frank (household) and Barbara Bjarnasson (nutrition).

quiz

A quiz is offered twice in each program (usually around 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.), in which two viewers can play on the phone. There are a maximum of twelve questions to answer on all kinds of areas of knowledge in different levels of difficulty (1 to 4 easy, 5 to 8 medium and 9 to 12 difficult). With the level of difficulty, the chance of winning also increases. The other players can take turns choosing a specific question number. Whoever answers a question incorrectly first is eliminated. As a consolation prize, the loser receives - provided he has answered at least one question correctly - a coffee or tea cup. The other player can then get out and take the profit made so far. If he continues and answers a question incorrectly, he will only receive one cup. The highest profit could be achieved if the competitor was eliminated after the first question and the other answered all the remaining questions correctly. If both candidates answer all of the questions correctly, the winner is the one with the highest winnings. If at the end each player has earned 250 euros, everyone receives this amount.

Music from the southwest

On Fridays, individuals or groups from the broadcasting area always have the opportunity to perform a musical number three times live in the studio. In the weeks leading up to Shrovetide, we are looking for finalists for the program Der Närrische Ohrwurm , which was usually broadcast from the Singen town hall on the Sunday before Shrove Tuesday.

Celebrity gossip

Every Friday at around 5:30 p.m. there is the celebrity gossip section with reporter Kristina Hortenbach, reporters Constantin Zöller and Michael Münkner. A former expert is the moderator Sandra Jozipovic .

At home in the southwest

This section is always at the end of every program. People are invited who have experienced something special or can contribute something to a current topic, e.g. B. the candidates for the election of the German Wine Queen and the participants of the culinary travel program Lecker zum Land .

Former content

The Koch originals

On Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays at around 4:15 p.m., a half-hour film began in which well-known TV chefs prepare a dish and present the recipes for it, e.g. For example, the cooking show Cooking with Martina and Moritz with Bernd Neuner-Duttenhofer and Martina Meuth , produced by WDR , Cornelia Poletto with her cooking school and culinary art with Vincent Klink .

Good Trip

Articles were sent on individual travel destinations and travel-related accompanying topics. Short films about travel destinations from all over the world were shown. Only on Friday was the suggestion for a weekend trip to a worth seeing destination in the broadcasting area made - mostly by the moderator Markus Bundt.

Gala party

Until 2018, a coffee or tea gala dance party with the makers of the show as well as many prominent guests and the SWR1 band took place in the Bénazet hall of the Kurhaus Baden-Baden. Some tickets were raffled to the audience. For an entrance fee, other people who were not lucky in the raffle could also take part. At the event, viewers had the opportunity to talk to the moderators and experts from the show. The entrance fee also included a champagne reception, starter, gala buffet and entry to the casino.

Spectator trip

Once a year the coffee or tea team organized a one to two week spectator trip, mostly in the form of a cruise. There were always two of the moderators, one of the top chefs and a few experts who answered questions from the audience.

Moderation

Moderators are Heike Greis , Jens Hübschen , Martin Seidler and Evelin König . Former moderators included Pamela Großer , Jürgen Hörig , Fatma Mittler-Solak , Lena Ganschow and Bernd Schröder .
