Bernd "Moritz" Neuner-Duttenhofer (born November 29, 1943 in Hopfau ) is a German author , journalist and television presenter of the WDR show Cooking with Martina and Moritz .

Life

He studied theater history , sociology and art history in Munich . His first marriage was to the author and translator Isabelle Neuner-Duttenhofer. This marriage resulted in a son who was born in Munich in 1977. Bernd Neuner-Duttenhofer initially worked as a freelance cookbook author , was head of the cooking departments of the magazine Meine Familie und Ich from 1975 and became deputy editor-in-chief in 1981 .

Since 1983 he has been married to Martina Meuth , who is also a writer and television presenter. The two have been living on their apple estate in the northern Black Forest since 1985 , which he took over from his parents and which was originally acquired by his great-grandfather, the Rottweiler powder manufacturer Max Duttenhofer . The show he moderated together with Meuth, Cooking with Martina and Moritz, is the "longest-serving" German TV cooking show and has been broadcast regularly since 1988. He is the author of the book series Culinary Landscapes , which has been published by Droemer Knaur since 1985 and which describes landscapes, people and kitchens in eighteen regions of the world, primarily in Europe.

Neuner-Duttenhofer is a member of the Food Editors Club Deutschland e. V. (Working Group of Culinary Journalists) and Slow Food . By translating and editing books such as La Cuisine du Marché (The New Kitchen) by Paul Bocuse and other authors such as Paul and Jean-Pierre Haeberlin , Frédy Girardet , Gaston Lenôtre and Eckart Witzigmann , he acquired extensive knowledge of nouvelle cuisine .
