Volker Kugel
Volker Kugel (born February 20, 1959 in Calw ) is a German gardener and moderator .
Life
Volker Kugel completed an apprenticeship as a gardener with a focus on tree nursery immediately after school . After a few years of practical experience in a tree nursery, Kugel completed further training in horticulture at the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences . After two years in the garden center area, he spent eight years organizing state garden shows in Baden-Württemberg . Kugel has been director of the Blooming Baroque in Ludwigsburg since November 1997 . From 1999 to 2017 he was the presenter of the garden program Grünzeug on SWR television. In 2007 the book Gießbert und der Pflanzenretter was published, which he wrote together with the SWR4 program director Martin Born , who died in 2007 . He has been on www.grünzeug.tv with his gardening tips since 2018.
