Cornelia Poletto
Cornelia Poletto (* 9. August 1971 in Hamburg as Cornelia Diedrich ) is a German chef , entrepreneur , television presenter and author .
Life
As the daughter of the Lübeck medical professor Klaus Diedrich , Cornelia Poletto grew up with her mother in Hövelhof after her parents separated . After graduating from high school, she attended a hotel management school in Bavaria. Poletto then worked as an apprentice cook with Heinz Winkler in Aschau im Chiemgau . After her apprenticeship, she returned to Hamburg in 1995 and became the sous-chef in the now defunct Hamburg star restaurant Anna & Sebastiano under Anna Sgroi , where she also met her future husband Remigio Poletto.
She ran her first restaurant Poletto from 2000 to 2010 together with her husband at the time in Hamburg-Eppendorf . At the end of 2010 the Poletto had to close due to the sale of the property. On June 1, 2011, Cornelia Poletto opened her own delicatessen shop with an attached restaurant, the Cornelia Poletto, just a few meters from the old domicile .
On March 20, 2013, she founded her own cooking school, Cucina Cornelia Poletto, right next door. The cooking courses personally led by Poletto range from fish cuisine to Italian classics to the preparation of meat. There is also a motto evening ( Chef's Table ) with a four-course menu once a month .
Since autumn 2014 she has been part of the annual Cornelia Poletto - Palazzo dinner show , a circus program with an accompanying four-course menu, which is held in a mirror tent in front of Hamburg's Deichtorhallen for several months during the winter season . The organizer is Palazzo Produktionen Berlin GmbH, which will present the cook as the host. The premiere was on November 13, 2014.
Cornelia Poletto is a member of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe association .
At the end of April 2018, the restaurant "The Twins by Cornelia Poletto" was opened in Shanghai , which Poletto runs in cooperation with the Solingen-based Zwilling Group . The restaurant is located in the Taikoo Hui Mall and extends over around 640 m² with the associated shop and a cooking school over two floors.

In NDR television and SR Television Poletto has since autumn 2007 own cooking show. In Poletto's cooking school , where she and his apprentice Dennis Wilms demonstrate dishes from fast Italian cuisine. From 2008 to the end of the show in 2012, Poletto appeared regularly as a guest cook in the cooking show Lanz kocht . In the ZDF telecast The Küchenschlacht it is alternating with other chefs presenter and jury member. In 2011 she strengthened the cooking team for the ARD Buffet program . In addition, Poletto was seen as a juror in the ZDF cooking show Topfgeldjäger from 2014 to 2015 . From 2015 to 2018 she was the coach and jury member of the cooking casting show The Taste .
Volunteering
As a reading ambassador, Cornelia Poletto is committed to the Reading Foundation . She is also the patron of the Altona Children's Hospital . In the course of this she sat u. a. active for the project "Lufthafen - Die Wohnstation am AKK". The facility looks after children and adolescents who are dependent on long-term ventilation and offers them both short-term care and accommodation. Poletto has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the UNESCO Foundation - Education for Children in Need since 2013 .
Private
Cornelia Poletto was married to Remigio Poletto. She has a daughter with him (* 2002). On August 8, 2015, she married the then Deutsche Bahn boss Rüdiger Grube .
Awards
- From 2002 to 2010 the Cornelia Poletto restaurant was awarded a Michelin star .
- In 2006, Cornelia Poletto received the Eckart Witzigmann Prize for innovation, young restaurateurs and the promotion of young talent.
