Dennis Wilms (born March 21, 1975 in Kiel ) is a German television presenter .

He became known to a wide audience through the moderation of the Tigerenten Club and the knowledge shows Planet Wissen and W for Knowledge .

Life

At the age of 18, Dennis Wilms improved his pocket money as a schoolboy with radio broadcasts, making him one of the youngest German radio presenters of that time. After graduating from high school in Wellingdorf , he began an editorial traineeship at Radio Schleswig-Holstein , which was followed by a visit to the Academy for Journalism in Hamburg .

After the Berlin film and television agency Acting with People discovered him in 1996, he switched from radio to television. From September of the same year he hosted the Tigerenten Clubhouse on KiKA before ARD hired him for the main program Tigerenten Club . By 2002 he hosted more than 260 episodes of this children's program. In addition, he was in 1998 and 1999, together with Mike Diehl, moderator of issues of the program Chart Attack on ZDF .
