Jürgen Kroneberg

Jürgen Kroneberg (born June 13, 1949 ; † February 9, 2019 ) was senior district director of the Rheinisch-Bergisch district from 1994 to 1997 and chairman of the supervisory board of the EEX energy exchange since 2000 .

Vita

Jürgen Kroneberg had a doctorate in law and studied law from 1971 to 1976 at Bielefeld University . In the following two years he worked as a trainee lawyer in Osnabrück . His doctorate took place in the field of company law. After working as a lawyer in Bremen, from 1983 he was personal advisor to Egbert Möcklinghoff, then Lower Saxony's interior minister . From 1989 to 1993 he was district director in the Steinfurt district . On January 1, 1994 Jürgen Kroneberg was elected senior district director of the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis. In this position he worked until April 30, 1997. In an obituary by the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis, its efforts to develop the district into a modern, citizen-oriented service company are highlighted .

In 1997 he became a member of the Executive Board of RWE Energie AG. He was responsible for sales in Germany and Benelux as well as legal issues. From 2000 to 2003, as a member of the board of RWE Net AG, he was responsible for the sales / legal department and then moved to the board of RWE Energy AG. After retiring in June 2009, he was initially a lawyer at Clifford Chance and from April 2015 a lawyer at White & Case in Düsseldorf.

From 2000 until his death he headed the supervisory board of the energy exchange EEX.
