Jürgen Kruse (bell founder)

Jürgen Kruse († after 1547) was a German bell and gun founder in Hanover .

life and work

Jürgen Kruse worked in the 16th century as a member of the Hanoverian foundry family Kruse, which also included Henni and Henning Kruse .

In 1547 Kruse poured five snakes for Hanover, including one with the name “Help Got in Evicheit”, another with the name “the Becker piece”, as this had been ordered by the bakers' guild . In Hanover, the snakes were usually watered by the Apengeter , who also watered open vessels.
