Jürgen Metkemeyer

Jürgen Metkemeyer (born August 27, 1955 in Dortmund ) is a German journalist .

Metkemeyer had been the GDR correspondent for the ap ( Associated Press ) news agency in Berlin since 1984 , before joining the Frankfurter Rundschau in 1990 . Here he was initially deputy head of the newsroom and from 1999 on duty . From 2002 to 2005 he was deputy editor-in-chief of Frankfurter Rundschau together with Stephan Hebel under the editor-in-chief of Wolfgang Storz . There he was mainly responsible for human resources, finances and organization. From July 1st, 2005 to October 30th, 2009 Jürgen Metkemeyer was editor-in-chief of the Pforzheimer Zeitung .

Metkemeyer is now the manager for the New Castle in Baden-Baden. He is the press spokesman for the Al-Hassawi Group, which wants to turn the castle into a luxury hotel.
