Jürgen Prölss

Jürgen Prölss (born September 2, 1939 ; † June 7, 2012 ) was a German lawyer and university professor.

Life

Jürgen Prölss received his doctorate from the University of Munich in 1966 . He was appointed to the Free University of Berlin as a specialist in insurance law . The son of the founder and namesake Erich Prölss was the publisher, initially with Anton Martin , and later with other authors, from the 18th to the 28th edition, responsible for the well-known standard commentary on the Insurance Contract Act in the Beck series. Jurists are also familiar with the comment as Prölss / Martin . Students and colleagues dedicated a commemorative publication to him on his 70th birthday.

After his retirement as a professor, Prölss held lectures until his death. His grave is in the Rottach-Egern community cemetery .
