Erich Robert Prölss

Erich Robert Prölss (born November 21, 1907 in Aachen , † January 11, 1969 in Tegernsee ) was a German insurance lawyer .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hamburg in 1925, he completed his law studies. After completing a dissertation on transport law, he passed the assessor examination in 1931. Until 1933 he was in the legal department of Schleswig-Holstein. Landesbrandkasse Kiel and then until 1937 worked as a lawyer in a Hamburg law firm, where he further specialized in the field of insurance law. In 1938 he was appointed to the board of directors of Bayerische Rückversicherung , whose chairmanship he took over as general director in 1956.

In 1962 he received the Bavarian Order of Merit and in 1965 became honorary professor for insurance law at the University of Hamburg .
