Jürgen Schülbe (born April 4, 1938 ) is a former German soccer player. From 1958 to 1973 he was a successful goalscorer for the Police Sports Association Dynamo Eisleben .

Athletic career

In 1957 (calendar year season) the 19-year-old striker rose with SG Dynamo from Eisleben from the 2nd GDR league to the second-class 1st GDR league . In 1958 he was able to fight for a regular place in the team with appearances in all 26 league games and immediately became SG Dynamo's top scorer with 19 goals. In the following five seasons he was able to conquer the top scorer's crown four times before the newly arrived Siegward Reinicke outstripped him in 1965 . However, Schülbe was able to defend his regular place until 1972, where he played all league games in seven seasons. This also includes his penultimate 1971/72 season, which he tackled at the age of 33. His goal danger had already decreased since 1969, because in the seasons 1969/70 to 1972/73 he only got three goals in the league games. Schülbe said goodbye to competitive football after the 1972/73 season, in which he was only used in eight league games. After the end of his career he had reached 396 GDR league appearances and 159 league goals.
