IC 4102 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E5 in the constellation Canes Venatici on the northern sky . It is an estimated 362 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 4049 , IC 4069 , IC 4078 , IC 4086 and IC 4097 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 21, 1903 .
